Lightening the load

This year, Larissa decided she needed to get organized and that meant she had to get rid of a lot of things she had been keeping around for no good reason — a situation many of us can relate to.

She started in the morning to bag up a bunch of things to take to Goodwill and some furniture to take to Habitat for Humanity/Restore. Colleen came over to help her load many bags and things into the van, clean the apartment and then they delivered all the donations.

When asked about how the whole process made her feel, Larissa said, “It feels great! I had too much stuff I didn’t need.” Her big smile says it all. She and Colleen were headed to lunch to celebrate Larissa’s huge achievement and good feelings.
